Welcome, welcome, välkommen, tervetuloa...

Hello, I'm Ros-Mari and I come from Finland. I have been living in Germany for over 30 years now. To get closer to the Scandinavian way of life, my husband and I built a Finnish wooden house near Cologne in Germany 25 years ago.
Why NordicStyle? I am a trained home stager and "Nordic by nature". Our house and furnishings are therefore based on the popular Scandi style.
We love renovating, modernizing and furnishing our home.
Here we give insights into our various renovation projects and share experiences, ideas and tips for interior design with a Scandinavian touch.
Maybe we can inspire you with our projects and even help you with advice and suggestions?
Since we also love to travel, often in Scandinavia and around Europe, you will not only find interior design tips in the blogs, but from time to time also holiday tips and information.

The old color palette went into apricot and yellow shades.

Did you know that in Finland there are almost 3 million saunas for a good 5 million inhabitants! So almost everyone has their own, and there are also a variety of public saunas.

Finnish sauna rule : Depending on your mood, you stay in the sauna as often and as long as you like. This can be minutes, but also hours – of course interrupted again and again with cooling breaks (also as long as you like...)

We have a sauna heater from Harvia and do a lot of "löyly" (infusion).
